Hadrontherapy is based on the use of heavy particles “hadrons” (protons or carbon ions) to treat tumoral cells, with lighter impact on healthy tissues compared to other treatments such as X-ray radiotherapy. For this project @cnaofondazione ASG Superconductors manufactured the synchrotron and high energy beam transfer (HEBT) and medium energy beam transfer (MEBT) lines magnets.
